Singer Adam Lambert has only gone and landed his job on the forthcoming ITV series Starstruck.
Big news for us as Adam needs to spend more time in Europe (Specifially the UK). Well the news is that he will be over here most likely to promote the show mid 2022 for his latest venture, having completed filming for a new singing show.
Adam Lambert will be joined by entertainer Sheridan Smith, comedian Jason Manford and Beverley Knight on the judging panel.
Starstruck follows common individuals from people in general with an outstanding ability as they aim to collaborate and change into one of a number of stars from the world’s greatest music symbols including Lady Gaga, Marvin Gaye, Amy Winehouse to Ariana Grande, Lionel Richie, Madonna and Michael Buble, to name but just a few.
Discussing the show at the ITV Palooza occasion in London earlier this week, Adam shared with the press: “It was an astonishing time shooting it with my kindred adjudicators I lived it up. The entire group and ITV were so warm and inviting to me and I’m truly glad to be a piece of the family now.”
Talking he proceeded: “It’s a show where individuals from the public come and they are changed into their cherished symbols and they get to play out a tune a we have like full creation with artists and outfits and lighting.
“It’s actually a dream for these individuals to come on and experience their fantasies.”
Also, asked who he would show up on the show as, Adam added: “I could do an Elvis or perhaps a George Michael something to that effect.”
There is alot of love for Adam online with one user asking “Do you think Adam could do a good Elvis impression?” whilst we asked superfan Lorraine Kelly her thoughts and she told us “Love him xxx”.
In terms of filming, MarkMeets were told “It’s already done and recorded. The audience was virtual”.
The series sees four groups of three fight it out every week to win the vote of making a decision about board and virtual crowd for a pined for place in the last and to be in with the shot at winning a 50,000 prize.
A beginning date for the show is to follow, which will be facilitated by Olly Murs is also on board
“Leaving their day occupations behind, individuals from the public will be changed into their most adored music star for one night as it were. Yet, they wont be in front of an audience alone. All things considered, theyll be collaborating as threesomes who all offer a similar love of a music symbol to give a truly mind-blowing exhibition.
“With a specialist glitz group to direct their exceptional change, amazing organizing and a marvelous sound and light show, our singing stars will get the total genius experience.
“Every scene will finish in an intriguing finale which sees the triumphant threesome go up against one another for a spot in the fabulous last and the opportunity to leave with that extraordinary amount of money.”
Starstruck will air on ITV and ITV Hub in mid 2022.
Meanwhile Lambert and Queen have rescheduled again to 2022, kicking off with two shows at the AO Arena Manchester on May 30 and 31. Queen and Adam Lambert have also added two extra UK shows at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow on June 2 and 3.
